Dumbarton Castle |
| A modern and efficient motorway
parallels the river on its southern shore
and speeds traffic via Langbank to
Greenock. To the north of the Clyde, the
river Leven winds its way down from Loch
Lomond to enter the Clyde at the ancient
stronghold of Dumbarton Castle whose
extinct volcanic plug still dominates the
northern shoreline. |
