Loch Lomond.
|
|
To
the west of Glasgow (only thirty
minutes by car) lies one of the world's most famous stretches
of water.
Romanticised
in song and poem, Loch Lomond remains a beautiful area
for the visitor to explore. One of the best known versions was
performed by Scottish band Runrig.
In
the summer months, the Loch is a favourite venue for water sports.
|
Loch
Lomond and Ben Lomond.
|
On
the east side of the Loch, the West Highland Way passes Rowardennan
on its route north.
While, on the west shore, picturesque little villages, such as
Luss, still flourish.
|
Scots
Pine at Firkin Bay, Loch Lomond.
|
Heading
north along the A82, you have the choice at Tarbet to continue
on to Crianlarich or to turn west and explore some of the beautiful
sea lochs such as Loch Long,
Loch Goil and Loch
Fyne.
